Do we feel informed about science?

Only 40% of British people think they are "informed about science".

80% of Britons think science "makes a good contribution to society". The Guardian article points out the discrepancy between those who feel informed and those who are generally supportive (regardless of ignorance, one can only assume).

56% devoted some of their free time to science-related activities last year (e.g. museum, festival, planetarium, zoo).

70% believe the media "sensationalise" science issues.
