Poetry
Morning

And the sun slides between
half-closed eyelid curtains;
light caresses
the surface of heavenly spheres,
finesses advantageous curves.
Biologically opposable –
a hand slides between
half-open, drowsy legs
chasing thoughts of night
and subconscious desire –
Fully awake, imperative,
a genetic reaction
and sunlight rainbows through Fresnel hair:
a sheen of perspiration,
a tectonic slowing;
and we are still once more.
